Hi betta lovers!  If you're reading this, you don't know what some of these words mean.  Here is a glossary, where you can find the pronunciations and definitions of the words or names in this blog.  (Example: word: pronunciation: definition)   Enjoy!  (I have not done this before so I did the pronunciation as best as I could!)

Eragon: AIR-a-gun: my fish; the name of this blog
Jessica: JES-ee-ka: my name
Francis: FRAN-sis: my brother's betta fish, now sadly deceased
betta: BET-ta: a Siamese fighting fish
Siamese fighting fish: SIGH-u-mees FIGH-ting fish: a fish bred to have brilliant colors and long, flowing fins
blood worms: BLUD-werms: a type of betta food
bettariffic: bet-ta-RIF-ik: my expression, meaning terrific
Pets Plus: pets plus: a pet shop
Petco: PET-co: another pet shop
banner: BAN-er: an ad for a website in a square or rectangular form
A-day: AY DAY: short for adoption day
Adoption Day: u-DOP-shun DAY: day Eragon/Francis was adopted
