Francis Died

Hi betta lovers!  I bring sad news: Francis died last July.  I was away at the zoo with my family and friends when he died.  He was a week shy of his 1-year-and-5-month anniversary.  We've buried him now.  We'll miss him greatly.
To mourn this loss, I will soon add Francis' pictures.  I never took many; however, I have a couple of videos of him and Eragon when they were in one tank.  Also, I snapped some shots when he was still bright red, probably a few hours before he died.
Rest In Peace, Francis.  We all love you very much.

Why get a betta?

Hi there people!  If you're reading this, you are probably wanting to get a pet, and don't know what to get.  Also, you probably aren't a betta lover yet.  Well, here's my suggestion: get a betta!  Here are a few reasons why.

• They are very easy to take care of: just feed them and clean their tanks!
• Don't worry about noise.  They are the strong and silent type.
• The males are very pretty, with their flowing fins.  They are the ideal pet, because not only are they beautiful, they are fun!
• They come in all different colors, as well as fin shapes and sizes!  No matter what kind of fin you want, what color would be preferable, what age you want it to be when adopted, the perfect betta awaits!

Hey betta lovers, guess what?  Francis' adoption anniversary was the 22nd!  Wish him a happy A-Day (Adoption Day)!

Good News!

Hey betta lovers!  I will be back with Eragon the day after tomorrow!  Woohoo!  I left him with a friend...let's see how he did with her.  I'll keep you updated!

Bad News

Hi betta lovers!  Hey, you know, I am on vacation out of state until February, so I won't be able to update anything about Eragon or Francis (who are being cared for by a wonderful betta fish owner) until then.  However, I still have knowledge of betta fish to publish, and just fun regular blog stuff too!  Though I miss Eragon, you know, it's still a wonderful vacation!

Fun Facts

Hi betta lovers!  Here are a few fun facts about this blog, Eragon, Francis and I:

• Eragon has quite a temper: when he is put next to Francis, he immediately starts spreading his fins and frills.
• My profile picture is actually my favorite doll, not me.
• Eragon is smaller and has a more transparent look to him than Francis, whose color is bright red.
• This blog was created at around midnight one frigid January night in 2012.
• Eragon is much more active than Francis.
• Eragon's tank is like a sideways cylinder, while Francis' is a long octagon.  They are both plastic tanks.
• Eragon has quite an appetite: even though he is fed two pellets a day he wants more; while Francis is picky, eating only one pellet every day (and only the small ones).
• Eragon has glass jewels in his tank and a big plastic plant.  Francis has a big bunch of plastic plants.
• This blog was created because I was on a trip to the other side of my country, and I missed my fish.
